Re: NASCAR thread
I missed the race. What did I miss? Can't wait for the All-Star race tomorrow though.

Lots of empty seats at the toiletta er, I mean truck race

Re: NASCAR thread
That's one thing I noticed in last weeks Cup race at Dover. Large banners covering entire sections that had no seats filled at all. Those sections that were not covered still had many unclaimed seats.

Ain't Brian "The pansy" France a genius?

Re: NASCAR thread
Without a doubt I'm going to the Nationwide race in Newton, Ia. next year. Rusty Wallace's track. It seats 40,000 and guaranteed it'll be sold out. They could sell out that track with just people from Iowa.

Re: NASCAR thread
So the old rule was that you had to finish on the lead lap of the shootout in order for the fans to vote you in for the All-Star race. They now changed it so you don't have to finish on the lead lap. I wonder if they changed it so Dale Jr. is almost guaranteed to be in the big race. He is the face of NASCAR even though he is only a mediocre driver.

Re: NASCAR thread
Seems like they change something about this race every year. If it was'nt for non-point races, Jr. would'nt have won squat for the last 3 years. He's bordering on not even being a mediocre driver anymore. I wonder how much longer before Hendricks kick him to the curb.

Re: NASCAR thread
Pretty awesome showing for the Ford guys so far. I sure wish Biff could hold that thing down low. He has a car as fast as Carl.
Too bad Harvick is not even close to Kyle. :23: |
Re: NASCAR thread
Way to go Carl!!!! Too bad he wrecked his car doing his celebration. LOL

Re: NASCAR thread
That was wayyyy past naughty!

Re: NASCAR thread
Actually he has been pretty calm over the years. He seems to be handling his mistake okay so far.

Re: NASCAR thread
Poor Jr. :wtf::flamedevi

Re: NASCAR thread
I say:In your face, NASCAR power-morons!
They should have thrown a caution when the last restart resulted in a multi car crash, and the debris from those cars. Instead, the morons in control of things decide to give JR a win on a platter, only they didn't count on him running out of fuel on them. Shame on them. They made it so obvious that they didn't want the cars who dominated the day, and deserved a realistic chance for an honorable win to do so. The wanted the JR win. He didn't I'm glad, and they should be ashamed. :borg: |

Re: NASCAR thread
I think some heads need to roll after that obviously rigged race. I could'nt believe what I was seeing. They were'nt even halfway around the track so they were'nt even close to a white flag.
|
Re: NASCAR thread
At first I thought the same thing about NASCAR pulling for Jr but when I go back and watch it, I don't think they did. The track was plenty clear and as was proved in F1, Indy, and NASCAR today ... there is no way to fix a race with so many variables. Jr ran good today and has been all year. I'm not a fan but it gets a bit old hearing all the conspiracy theories. If NASCAR was cheating for Jr he would have won a long time ago.
I wonder if Chad will get a fine for his fbomb????? :23: |
Re: NASCAR thread
I've seen tons of races where debri is well off the track and they call a caution, yet when cars are skidding around out of control that means nothing? Jr. was already well ahead of everyone else.
