Re: NASCAR thread
Sad night for the Fords. Kahne had the car of the night, even if he didn't win.

Re: NASCAR thread
Heres a little debate that should get people riled up. Bruton Smith knows how to run a racetrack for sure but he needs to keep his nose out of the inner workings of NASCAR IMO.
http://espn.go.com/racing/nascar/cup...atory-cautions The worst part is Biffle somewhat agrees with this idiocy. Makes me even less of a fan of his. If you ever heard the way he speaks to his crew on the radio you wouldnt respect him either. |
Re: NASCAR thread
It's the nature of the sport with 400-600 mile distances. Drop it down to 250-300 mile races then. Anymore, I just watch certain tracks. I do find some tracks are very boring to watch and I skip watching that race. That guys idea is beyond retarded. Biffle just wants a section of seats named after him.

Re: NASCAR thread
Lol after Richmond Edwards for sure is against phantom cautions :P. I'm shocked that there are very little cautions this year, but doesn't mean they should just randomly throw them out. I have a feeling next year we will have tons of cautions with the new Cup car designs...

Re: NASCAR thread
Only 1 more race on TNT after tonight's. Thank JESUS!
|
Re: NASCAR thread
I was surprised this race was on TNT. What station does it switch to next, Speed Channel or ESPN?

Re: NASCAR thread
Kurt Busch needs to take another drug test. What the hell was he thinking with that psychotic move.

That was a good race after the long green stretch (I dozed off). I thought Biffle or Kenseth had a lock on this race. They were incredibly strong, but that last restart they did'nt have the power to pull away like the rest of the race. |
Re: NASCAR thread
That was the worst finish ever. I'm wondering how much money stewart has in the NASCAR franchise, must be alot or he is doing sexual favours on the side. It's amazing how on EVERY restart, biff/kenseth pulled away but yet on the last restart, a bogus push gave stewart the win. CHEVcar is really showing it's colour, must be a sad attempt to make Government Motors look like a good company :/.
|
Hell I thought it was a good finish and my driver got wrecked at the end by your two ford drivers none the less lol. Cant win em all
|
Re: NASCAR thread
Hated to see Stewrat win another one, but happy to see Kyle (or the Jerk as he was refered to by the talking heads) end up on the less fortunate end of that late incident. There may be hope for Carl yet, as he quietly pulled in to a 6th place finish. He still needs a good end of season or a win to get into the chase and time is drawing near.

Indy!

Re: NASCAR thread
Indy Nationwide!
I'm sure they didn't want to put whatever Sadler had to say about the restart on TV, btu I'm sure they had to keep him away from Austin Dillon. :borg: |

Re: NASCAR thread
I can't wait for the redesigned cars next year, keeps getting more and more boring, same 3-4 drivers win week in, week out. We REALLY need Penske with Ford, I have no idea what is going on in Roush, but they have REALLY sucked a** all year, Daytona aside.

Re: NASCAR thread
Such a sad story. Imagine going to a race and then getting killed after it's done. RIP to the deceased and hope for a full recovery for the other 9.

Re: NASCAR thread
I just heard the news as well. Terrible, just terrible.
A sad day. :borg: |
Re: NASCAR thread
Very bad news. My wife and son were with me today at Talladega. It was a fun day there and at Barber Motorsports Park for the evening. We really didn't get the news until we started our drive to Huntsville this evening. I've had some lightning encounters while flying and I didn't like it much. I can't imagine a strike on the ground out in the open. Prayers for those involved.

Re: NASCAR thread
And out of the door goes Dodge...no real surprise, but disappointing none the less.

Re: NASCAR thread
Nascar is about to go on the respirator. If they bring in another foreign brand, that'll be the final nail in the coffin. The crowds will look like the IRL/CART series.

Re: NASCAR thread
I'm almost hoping that when Australian Touring Car series gets here to support the F1 race in Austin that they will see a series of 'stock' cars that should be replicated here.
:borg: |
Re: NASCAR thread
That was the most exciting last lap of a road course I've ever seen. Of course you can't talk to Kyle Busch after the race is over. Hopefully someday he'll get over himself.

Re: NASCAR thread
Great for Marcos, great for Ford, and really the kind of ending that all NASCAR races should strive for.
