I would really love to find out my build date. I believe the person doing that was burned out. Does anybody else have access to this information? My VIN# 1FAFP42R73F400234 , on a 2003 torch red. I would really like to get some of those tags that will show the build date as well as the VIN on the interior and the engine compartment. Somebody PM me if they can get this information for me. thanks

So is it possible to get the info people are asking for in this thread. ie build date and production number. that would be awsome. I am in the USAF and just moved from AZ to OK and my mach just showed up.... i cant wait for the roads to clean up a bit to take it out. my vin # is1FAFP42R43F373011 its a 2003 and zinc yellow. please help if possible. thanks in advance.. The info is part of a report that is generated By certain Ford employees to determine warranty status, options, and build dates.
The plates are a custom made info plate that goes on the core support and console displaying build info. Do a search for "ID Plates" in the forum for a link

I Just Checked With My Ford Dealer...he Did An 'oasis' Report, My Car's Build Date Was 06/23/03.

It's Just That Easy. Check With Your Ford Dealer. Only Takes About 15 Seconds.

FYI, while taking the Mach 1 for a test drive, I noticed that shifting from 1 -> 2 and from 2 -> 3 was "raspy". I'm in Ontario, Canada where the temperature was about -10 degrees Celcius during the test drive, so the raspiness was fairly evident.

I also noticed that the driver's side seat belt wasn't retracting properly.

So, after the test drive, I dug out copies of TSB 04-15-6 and TSB 05-16-11 from my file folder, and gave them to the dealership salesperson. I indicated that I wanted both issues resolved as part of the purchase.

The dealership is currently installing the "Synchro Kit" as mentioned in TSB 04-15-6.

This site has been great for providing much technical details, and of course links to various TSBs and SSMs!
