G-men face their toughest opponent of the year this Sunday. This should give everyone a good idea of where the Giants stand among the league's elite teams.

I would like to bet on the Giants at +3 this weekend, but something tells me to avoid that game.

Re: NFL Football Thread

heres how i see it

giants needed 3 turnovers and the last 20 seconds to be the cowboys by 2 points. Brees is gonna destroy them (he is the league's best qb afterall)

That analysis sounds like sour grapes to me. Maybe the Cryboys should call a few more time outs. The Giant-Saints game should be very close as long as Eli stays healthy.

Eli looks healthy. Looks like the Midgets have the issues playing teams with winning records.

Can't really brag too much, but maybe a little celebration. The RAIDERS beat on the Eagles today!

What a day- the Raiders win & the Phillies biotch-slapped the Dodgers!:claus:

The Pats and Brady should be arrested for killing the High School Titans. They had to pull Brady early in the 3rd Quarter so the score wouldn't be 100 - 0. Brady didn't look to good last week but made up for it this week. 5 Touchdown passes in the 2nd Quarter. WOW. Go Pats:worship:

This years Lions (Titans) can make anyone look good :23:

I liked that 22-yard punt the Oilers made during the second quarter. A junior-high school player could do as well or better.

Even the Lions made a more respectable showing with all their injured players that were out and using their third-string QB.

Now, if only the Raiders can build on this and play well next week.

Phillies looked real good last night. They're going to have to hit the cover off the ball (like last night) to beat those Yankees (who I expect to finish off the Angels). The Yankees are very strong and really without a weakness. Considering both ballparks, long balls could be the norm for the series.

Good call. G-men got owned by the best team in football. I can't complain, though. Giants are 5-1 and still in first place.

I guess it went over your head. It took Dallas O.T. to beat a powerhouse like K.C. . Same difference.

The titans have the Terrible Towel curse on them. NEVER NEVER NEVER disrespect the terrible towel if you want to be good in the NFL any time soon.

I know a cowboy isnt putting down the Steelers? The cowboys havent won a playoff game in HOW many YRS? Or is that DECADES? :12:

AND one more thing, SIX SUPERBOWL CHAMPIONSHIPS. Nuff said. :claus:

I could'nt care less. That was 6 weeks ago. It's in the W column. I suppose if Pitt wins tomorrow we'll have to hear all the excuses of why they handed the game to the Steelers.

'The Squeelers cheated'

'The refs called everything the Squeelers way'

'AP was not 100%'

blah, blah, blah ......

Seriously, the Vikes played a good game, just not good enough and didn't make the plays when they had to. Minny is a good team and they are for real ... just not their day.
