Just pay for as many sites as you need to park your rig. We have to get 4 spaces to fit my Dad's RV. Even paying for several spaces is a lot cheaper for the weekend than the cheapest motel.

Yeah ill try some black tape. Im sure it'll work out just fine, except for the shaking thing. But luckily my cam has some stability control. :)

I never thought of that.....................It is me not the car show, maybe I can work out a deal with Carlisle and get paid to stay away from them. I plan on going to the import/kit show here in a couple of weeks; wonder if they pay me to stay away.......I could even sell back my season pass.....get rid of that huge umbrella......not complain anymore about the weather.........We could try the rain chant, wait a minute that didn't work at Woodstock.

lol

Hey Guys,

The local law enforcement is always on alert at car shows. I just posted this on the Carlisle Forums.

I live about 1 hour west of Carlisle and my daughter lives right by the fairgrounds. The police there are very strick; I am very careful to obey all posted signs and have been lucky so far. My daughter says she feels that they do target the younger crowd even more. The only thing I can tell you is not to break the traffic laws in the area. The posted 55 mph on I81 is also enforced to the letter of the law. Another pointer is make sure you stop when coming off the turnpike onto RT 11. It looks like a yield but there is a stop sign there. And from the turnpike to the fairgrounds the speed limit changes a few times make sure you obey it.

Thanks
Dave

The party starts when you get there....
I would say around 5:00 - 5:30 PM
People usually leave the fairgrounds around 4:00 PM or so, so I figure I'll head back early, like 2:00 PM and get things started. So the shindig should be going when you guys decide to leave the Fairgrounds to come to the Hotel.

Rain or not, I need this.
I am so overdue for a break and what a better break than with a bunch of Mach 1 owners.

I can't wait & am looking forward to this.

Oh and thanks for the heads up on obeying the traffic speeds.
I'll be heading down from the "Great White North" and I will be trying to make time, so I know to slow it down to posted limits in the area.

:D

Just as an add on to Boney's heads up. Watch for the yellow signs on I-81 that say Safety Corridor. The fines are doubled. These are normally the areas that 55mph and as Boney said they are patrolled heavily. They use their personal cars and drive 55 in the left lane. If you pass on the right or try to push them they radio it in. I'm not saying every car sitting in the left lane doing 55 is a State Trooper but no need to find out the hard way.
