Ha! :claus: Yeah I quit watching before it was over. I was watching Chasing Classic Cars on Discovery HD Theater. My bad. I AM watching the Cowboys lose. Down by two tds they will start to disintegrate. TO is already screaming at everybody. |

The intelligent people in this area are airing the No Contention Game between the Skins and 49ers rather than the Dallas/Philly game. Morons.
Whether win or lose, I would much rather watch a game with Playoff implications. |

I would just as soon watch my team, win or lose.

No implications in this game. The Cowboys exploded at the end of the year once again for the world to see. When you build your team around high character players like Pacman Jones, you end up with a great team. |

It's nice that y'all fair weathered fans can change the channel. Watch if they win, ignore if they're losing.
Personally, I like to watch my team. Maybe even root for them, regardless of score. But I'm loyal like that. Shows the character of some "fans". |

I watch football for entertainment. It stops being entertaining for me when my team is losing by a landslide. I tend to get a bit irrational when watching my team lose so badly so it is best for everyone that I remove myself from the situation. I have proudly worn and displayed my Skins paraphernalia for over 25 years...definitely not a fair-weather fan here. |
Re: NFL Football Thread
Well I'm with Aneurism. I want to watch my team whenever possible, even if they lose. If the Bears were on and they were getting beat worse than the Cowboys (is that possible?) then I would watch them instead.

Re: NFL Football Thread
I think the key is to be realistic about your team. I try to be real about what they have, what they can do with it and how they compare to other teams. I will be the first to tell you that every other year my team goes 4-12, but they have had a few good years over the last few. I went into the year merely hoping for a playoff berth and it came down to the last Sunday of the regular season. They did not fall apart and get humiliated by a mediocre team in the last game of the season like the Cowboys did. In realistic terms what else could I have asked for? It was a good season.

Re: NFL Football Thread
Now that the regular season is virtually over I will say that I think this has been a really hard season to get a handle on. Every team that is in the playoffs has looked great at times and really bad at times. I think this is a hard postseason to try to predict but I will go out on a limb for fun and say I like the Falcons and the Ravens.
