Re: NASCAR thread
Yea, that was pretty lame.. the racing was allright, but the end SUCKED!!! Jr having no luck, i think he had a chance if he wasnt involved in the wreck. Still got a top 10 though!

Re: NASCAR thread
That was actually one of the more boring plate races I've seen. Towards the end it got really interesting with the 3,4 wide racing. That's what I love about Daytona and Talladega. I think it's just amazing the talent it takes drive those cars just a foot or so apart. After 20 years of plate racing I think people would have stopped whining already and accepted it. I could have gone to this race if it was'nt for a miscommunication between my dad and me. He thought I could'nt get the time off to go to this race. :anger:

Re: NASCAR thread
At this point, it looks like Gibbs Racing got the better of the Jr/Busch deal.

I would have to agree. Jr is a very good driver but he has never been a great driver and is getting to old to be a great driver. On the other hand, Busch(he's still an azz hole) is just a kid with a lot of talent and a big future. I hate to say this, but I think he is going to be the next big name in Nascar. Even if he ever approaches the alltime winners the likes of Petty(ok no one will ever do that), David Pearson, Bobby Allison, Darrell Waltrip, Cale Yarborough, Jeff Gordon(sorry guys, he's among the best), and Dale Sr. I'll always dislike this punk. That goes for his Dumbo earred brother as well. |
Re: NASCAR thread
I went to the local short track last night and Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin both raced in the late models. This was the first time Kyle has seen the track and he ended up winning the pole and the race. The guy can definetly drive.

Re: NASCAR thread
I see Carl has signed a three year contract extention with R/F. Biffle sounds like he's happy in his position. Sounds like we've got a sold team for a few years to come.
Qualifying today??? All screwed up. Should be a mess tomorrow night... :borg: |

Re: NASCAR thread
Seems like after every race I can't stand Kyle Busch more than the race before. I get sick and tired of his whinning and poor loser attitude when he don't win. How does a class guy in Joe Gibbs wind up with two azz's like Stewart and Busch?

As I said earlier, every week I can't stand Kyle Busch more than the week before. Knock out one of the Hendricks cars and I dislike him even more. Tough break for Jr.
Tough break for Hamlin, but tough. That's what you get for driving a Toyota. As for Gordon, not a bad finish with all the problems with that car and starting in last. |
Re: NASCAR thread
That wreck at the end of the race was nothing but hard racing. The replay to me looked like Earnhardt Jr. was coming down and Busch was going alittle high and they met. I like neither teams and that's the way it looked to me. It was all right to see Bowyer win. He just stays quiet and does his job.

BigEars drove in too hard, got loose, and wrecked Jr. I'm not a fan of either but that was a bonehead move. He hit him and then had to spin him in an effort to not spin himself, it was clearly his screw up. He should have been man enough to admit it after seeing the replay. If you can't control your car well enough to not hit the other driver, it's your fault and yes that's racing but be able to admit when you get in over your head and cause crap. Compare how Mark worked on bigears the last two laps, a world of difference in the class involved. Mark could have moved him on several occasions but did not. :worship: |

Re: NASCAR thread
In my opinion, it was both of their faults. Yes Kyle got into the corner a little hard but Jr. wasn't gving him any room either. I mean seriously, if Jr. would have gave him room, Kyle wouldn't have hit him, heck maybe Kyle wouldn't have even gotten loose. Watching the replay, kyle barely got loose and was already into Jr. On the flip side, if Kyle would have taken a little easier going into the turn, he wouldn't have gotten loose either.
Like it was said before, if it were Jr. getting into Kyle, it would have been alright. I hate all this crap that just because it was Dale Jr, it's automatically the other drivers fault. Just like all the polls you see during the race. Dale Jr. can be 10 laps down and he still would win the vote if it were to ask who would win the race. |
Re: NASCAR thread
It was racing, Shrub or not. I just wouldn't want to be on the security staff who had to escort him out. I wouldn't be surprised to see one of JR nation do somethign truly stupid.
Shrub hasn't garnered any new fans, that's for sure. Maybe that's why Stewrat wants out!?! I hate seeing Kenseths streak of bad luck continue, but at least Biffle and Edwards had a respectable finish. :borg: |
Re: NASCAR thread
Kyle and Dales on track altercation was there own fault. Kyles after race comments is what I'm refering to. Ofcourse the JR. fans will be upset for the on track nonsense, but the replay tells the tale. Both racing hard. Both caused the accident. Sr. would race you clean for a lap or two :23:
|
Re: NASCAR thread
Bigears does seem to have a 'bit' of an attitude problem. Even in a siuation that he really is clean on, he's defensive (and offensive...at the same time! ). I feel sorry for Denny, as he was dominant, and having come off of a great win the night before, could have had a great weekend at the home track.
:borg: |
Re: NASCAR thread
My problem with Kyle Busch is not so much that he wrecked JR.(both had fault). It's how the punk carries himself off the track and that he drives a Toyota. Both his Nationwide cup interview and the Sprint cup interview after both races were tasteless. The shame of it all is that Kyle Busch is one gifted driver that looks like he is going to make a serious mark of greatness on the track. Stewart is no longer the star of that team.
As for Jr. I like Jr. but I am not a livid jump on the bandwagon fan of his because of who his daddy was. I was not a big Earnhardt Sr. fan. I thought he was a great driver, but he also was reckless on the track, and often was dirty. I would agree if this were someone else most of you would hate Sr and the same would be for JR. because of his lineage. Also let me throw something else out here. Some of you seem to be so rabid for Roush because you swear by Fords(and that's ok, I swear by Hendricks). You post week in and week out that good a Ford won, or I wish a Ford won. Or I don't like him because he don't drive a Ford. Yet Jr. does not drive a Ford, and many of pledge your allegiance to him in spite of driving a Chevy? and attack other drivers because they are not in a Ford. I"ve always stated, I could care less about the car unless it's a Toyota. |

Got a Shrub fan at work that's nearly as bad, and he's been on a roll this year, so it's easy to hate on him, as it was last year. Stewrat was never a favorite of mine, and his switch to Toyota didn't rank him any higher in my book. DJs leaving rankled me when it became aparent he was going Toyota. There are a lot of drivers I like, Denny being one of them, that don't drive Ford. Casey's another. I like their style, and I wish them success. I don't for a minute think that a Ford will dominate every race. I do hope for the next champion to come from the blue oval corner and if he does backflips, all the better. So, here's to another season of controvery, silliness, jaw dropping moments, and good, hard racing!!! :borg: |
Re: NASCAR thread

I'm not a Jr. fan but he should have been allowed to race until the end without getting wrecked. Bigears is an extremely talented driver but also a first class AzzClown. If he wins the championship it will be just like his brother did, he will not do it with honor. I actually think Kurt is a changed person and enjoy watching him race, shrub is a punk. Shrub is the best thing to ever happen for Jeff Gordon. It's kinda like when Rusty Wallace screwed DW over, the fans stopped boo'n DW and started hating Wallace. :23: You guys can think what you want about Bigears but he had to take some pleasure in spinning the guy who replaced him on that team. He's a boogereatingmoron! :worship: |

Re: NASCAR thread
Here's the other exciting issue during the race. I think Waltrip probably didn't get the same treatment that a JJ, Jeff Gordon, Jr, Stewrat, or even Bigears would have recieved. Mikey may as well been a Roush driver last night. :23:

For the record, I am a Ford fan. Obviously my like for the Mach. But I also drive a Lincoln MKZ. I cheer for the driver. They could be in a Dodge, Chevy, or a Ford it don't matter to me. However you put JJ or Gordon in a Toyota and that is where it ends for me. I'll curse any driver that drives a Toyota or any other foreign car in Nascar. |
Re: NASCAR thread
I like how humble Hamlin was about his finish. No blame to anyone at all. As far as that poll on who "deserved" the win, well Bowyer happened to be there at the finish so I'd say he deserved the win more than anyone. It sucked for Hamlin not to have gotten the win and I was pulling for Jr. but whoever crosses the finish line at the end wins period.

As for the type of car they drive in NASCAR, I don't care what they drive, including Toyota. If they are a good clean driver without being a azzclown on or off the track, I have no reason to dislike them. |
Re: NASCAR thread
It sucks their driving Toyota's but I actually wanted Hamlin to win. He was totally blowing away the field for 95% of the race and he definitely deserved the win. I hope Stewart jumps from Gibbs and finds another team. Most people think he's a jerk, and he does some bonehead stuff sometimes, but I still like him as a driver, but I have no allegance to any driver since Jarrett jumped ship, then retired. I'm still waiting for some new meat Ford driver to move into the Cup series that I'm impressed with. Like a young Stewart, only driving a Ford.

HaHaaa, I was just listening to Dave Despain on Wind Tunnel. He had 2 polls about the Jr vs Shrub mess. Both asked who was at fault, Jr or BigEars????????? One poll was 80+% and the other was 98% Jr caused it. They claim whenever Jr is a choice he gets picked and they don't even read the question. I would have never thought so many would NOT read the question. I thought it was funny and kinda proves the point about Jr fans, some really don't know or understand racing they just see his name and have to vote for him. :23: :23: |
