Re: NASCAR thread
Wonder if we should sent JJ a can of fix-a-flat?

Re: NASCAR thread
I went to Chicagoland a couple of years ago. It was the time the big blow up orange was rolling down the track during qualifying. That was pretty funny. That was also the same year that Stewart took out Kahn in turn 1 and there was a huge "dissagreement" between the two teams in the pits. All you could see was a bunch of red firesuits running towrds Stewarts pits. It was hotter then heck that day but it was great!!!!

Re: NASCAR thread
Pretty good race at Gateway. Even the winner was OK with me.

Re: NASCAR thread
Pretty weird to see Edwards crash his car in the Busch race...and then improve his position after the sheetmetal got bent to the point where the crew had to jump on the trunk to get it drivable. Apparently Edwards also got into sometype of accident on Sunday and was released from the hospital yesterday.

Re: NASCAR thread
i think we should have a Nascar sub-forum in here.. it would be very convinient (sp) for alot of us who frequent this post.

Re: NASCAR thread
Yeah I just read that. I'm kinda suprised Ginn was doing as good as he was for this long seeing how they were a lower budget team.

Re: NASCAR thread
It's tought to compete with the big teams in Nascar such as Roush, Hendricks, and Gibbs. I see there are reports that Paul Newman is trying to buy RYR.

Re: NASCAR thread
I'd just heard that as well. It'll be a merger between RYR and Newman-Haas, which has more history in open wheel racing. Don't know what they're looking for in NASCAR.
Should be interesting to see ESPNs coverage of the Brickyard race, looking forward to it. :borg: |

This one kind of bugs me. Not so much that Martin is with DEI now but with the fact that DEI is such a huge Chevy company. He's been able to avoid having to advertise for GM so far but considering he is now the biggest name at DEI how much longer can he hold out. Money talks and MM is listening..... |

On top of that, right now he is committed to running 22 races next year with DEI. |
Re: NASCAR thread
Personally for me I don't care what the driver is driving. It can be a Ford, Chevy, or a Dodge. The only thing that matters is that it's not a Toyota, that is where I draw the line. I was one of the minority that actually liked(notice past tense) Michael Waltrip and was a fan of Dale Jarrett. Drive a Toyota and that ends immediately. And yes that would include if my favorite, Jeff Gordon made the unpardonable sin of going to them. LOL
I show no loyalty toward a manufacturer. I also drive a Lincoln Mkz and my wife drives a Chevy Malibu. I've bounced between Gm and Ford for years. However, my favorite car after all these years is the Mustang. |
Re: NASCAR thread
Big race weekend. I sure would like to see Martin or Rudd win the Brickyard.

Re: NASCAR thread
Looks like three 'Yota's didn't make itm and it would have been 4 if they hadn't tapped Terry Labonte to take over Mikeys NAPA car so he could get in on a champions provisional. But I can't get over: 5 of the top 6 cars are Dodges? Hmmm...Everham might have finally figured out something here.
