it seems to be a big problem with most of the teams, i swear i don't think its been this bad, it seems like that lockout really hurt the players a bunch and i'm just amazed at some of the teams out there playin,

Pick one old school QB and I am sure that Brady broke 1 or more of his records

Jeez lay off Brady's jock Gisel is getting jealous. Brady is a good QB but not the best. remember Joe never would have been who he was with out Rice. Hope those records keep him warm at night knowing he isn't even better than Peyton. :flamedevi

No QB is gonna own every QB record. Marino had a ton of records that Favre took over, and each generation of QB's is gonna face different rules. Hell, just imagine if before 10-15 years ago they played the "Breaking the plain of the goal line" rule for the last 80 years. Players would have a zillion more TD's and also tons less fumbles/turnovers. I don't like the Patriots, but I think Brady is a great QB. Obviously you need the talent around him to make it all work.

serviceman1 10-15-2011 06:12 AM

Re: NFL Football Thread

great talent, and a good system helps. I know there was contraversy around the pats. But when they lost Brady acouple of years ago and we watched Cassle take over they still went 11-5. Look at what is going on with Indy they still have great tallent but such a good system.

that is the same with a running back, take emmitt smith and barry sanders, just think how much more yards barry sanders would have gotten having what emitt smith did. Brady may be a great QB, but he isn't up there with the greats of all time

Yeah, 2 of them standing on the sidelines. That'll definitely be the only way Rhomo would get one.

The biggest problem in dallas is rhomo if garret had any confidence other than rhomo screwing up he would let him run the offense time for a change. What was once Americas team is a depressing thig to watch. Unless the team you like is playing them.

As much of a Cowboys fan that I am, I agree with your assessment of fastback.

T'is the reason I rarely post in here. Don't wanna be associated as a fan of the same team with such a douche poster.

its been the coach. the same o-cordinator that sucked in 2009 and the same one that sucked in 2010 and now he's the head coach and the problem in 2010.

Game of the week. Battle for AFC supremacy. Patriots vs Steelers. This game has been a broken record the past few years. Brady just throws it 50 times and it's game over. If Berger does'nt fight fire with fire then it's a lost cause. He's got the receivers to do it.

serviceman1 10-27-2011 08:09 AM

Re: NFL Football Thread

One good thing for berger is pats are not much for pass rush he may escape unharmed.

I will take the lumps that come with the steelers beating up on the PATS. Bummer with no power or cable listening to the game just was not the same. But we will see the steelers again later perhaps that will be a more important game hopefuly witha much different outcome.

The Eagles, Bucs, Bengals and Lions weren't legit? 3 of those on the road...

Eagles hadn't hit their stride yet (maybe now with the dallas killing a team the niners lost to), Bucs in a word no, Bengals are not a legit team, Lions are still trying to turn the corner to being a legit team. Tell me what is legit about these teams on both sides of the ball??

I'm not taking anything away (a win is a win) just saying it will be interesting to see how well they do against a powerful team that is put together on O and D. Take it how ever you want it.

The loss to D was with two of our starting WR being absent and was a blown coverage play away from being a W.

Anyway, The Lions were undefeated at the time with a good offense and defense.

I wasn't aware the Steelers had a good offense. The Niners are scoring 5 points a game more than they are. Yards don't win games. Points do. They turn opportunities into points better than any team. They score more points per yard than any team and allow the fewest points per yard gained on defense.

Their defense is the best in the NFL against the run and allow the fewest amount of points. Also, are best in the red zone. When big ben has no running game to compliment him (which he won't, the niners haven't allowed a 100 yard rusher in 29 straight games), he will crumble.

He might throw a 100/yards a game more than Smith, but when you average a pick per game, how much does that yardage matter?
