Re: NASCAR thread
It never ceases to amaze me how stupid people are. The grandstands are about 1/4 full. Why people never prepare for a Monday rainout day is beyond me. You blow all that money to see a race and you end up not seeing the Busch race or the Cup race. Retards.

Re: NASCAR thread
I always take 2 weeks off if I'm going to a race, because we always leave for the race on a Wednesday or Thursday and camp inside or outside the track, and we come back from the race on Monday, or Tuesday if it's a rainout. So no matter what I'm not missing anything.

Re: NASCAR thread
Considering how expensive hotel rooms are and how horrible traffic probably is going to and from the track, it shouldn't be a big surprise. And people do have to work for a living. I'm with you guys in planning to stay longer, but I can understand why it happens. Besides, at my work we couldn't let more than 2 or 3 people off at the same time and nearly a dozen guys go to the Chicago race.....
Oh, and hooray for CARL! Sucks that the race ended under caution cuz Jeff Gordon's car blowed up on the last lap and he wouldn't have ended up in 3rd otherwise.... |
Re: NASCAR thread
Hurray for Carl. Wish he'd have won the double, that would have been cool.
And as one of those 'retards' who got nailed with a rain out last year, it was a chance to see a race while I was at the Dream Cruise. I took the chance, I got rained out. Can't say I'm happy about it, but it doesn't bother me all that much... :borg: |
Re: NASCAR thread
Will on good thing there was no toys & Chevys came in 1st.:wings:

Re: NASCAR thread
:agree:
I was thinking the same thing this morning. With all of the hype surrounding Toilleta and Chebby in the pre-season, it's good to see a Dodge and a Ford take the first two race. Hopefully it'll be a practice that continues throughout the season. :borg: |
Re: NASCAR thread
I was just channel surfing and came across the NHRA race at Phoenix. How long has Toyota been in drag racing? I heard one commentator talking about a guys Toyota Funny Car. Man, that's even worse than Toyota in Nascar. I have'nt followed NHRA in quite afew years.

Re: NASCAR thread
the funny car is body only .All but one of the funny cars run the same engine Mike Nerf runs the new ford nitro engine for John Force.

Re: NASCAR thread

Re: NASCAR thread
That's alright...Carl has the outside of the front row. That way no one's there to get in his way. Shrub won't even lead a lap!
