The Suckhawks blew that one. It never even should've come down to that field goal. They pissed away a minimum of 6 points on those two drives in the 1st quarter that were at the 10 yard line and they came away with zippo both times. I'll give them credit, that was a hell of a comeback.

I'd rather see Frisco win a 6th Superbowl than see the Patsy's win a 4th.

They certainly seem to be on a roll. Seems as though they are the team to beat. No matter who wins the AFC.

Ravens :claus:

49'ers- This is a tough pick because I want to see Atlanta choke like they usually do in the Playoffs, but that advances the 5 time 49'ers to the Superbowl. Seeing Atlanta possibly win a Superbowl would definitely be different. Ok, I decided. DIE :32: DIE!!

:santa::santa::santa: AAWWWWWWYEEEAAAAAAAHH!!! It's Christmas In January Baby!! And on Martin Luther King weekend to boot. The dream is'nt dead yet!

This eerily reminds me of when the Bus was gonna retire the year they went to the Superbowl. Since Lewis is suppose to retire I'd get ready for a whacky Superbowl.

My Niners are BAAAAACK! Nothing is impossible now....going to be a REALLY good game.....I want to see Kaepernick (SP) have another record setting game...300 yards rushing & 400 yards passing...with 5 TD's each! LOL

Was that Frisco415 or something like that? Yeah, I kinda remember that. I think I remember saying they were gonna get spanked in the Playoffs last year and they came pretty close to going all the way. Maybe he's waiting for a "Where's Frisco415?" thread.

I absolutely knew when I first heard they were pulling #81 Hernandez jerseys that it would make them even more prized. All the thug wanna-be's gotta have them now. This country has become so azzbackwards it's beyond pathetic.

I had to hit the sack at halftime when it as 17-14. Man, they blew up the score in the 2nd half. I've got Brees in my FF league. I hope he can light it up for at least 5 TD's, especially against Atlanta.

...and then a 7th after my post. Too dang bad he couldn't squeeze one more and top all those QB's tied with 7.

Yeah, I'd like for them to slap the silly out of Atlanta too.

I think injuries have hurt them the past couple years, but it also seems like they have'nt been playing with any fire. Just going through the motions.

Re: NFL Football Thread

The Lions are gonna roll with an extra option for Stafford to go to. You can't have double and triple coverage on Megatron all the time and not pay for it elsewhere when there are options. And if you leave him on man to man...well you know what happens.

Thunderbolt 09-10-2013 12:13 AM

Re: NFL Football Thread

I would think if the opposing team is double and triple covering him that a bum off the street could catch a pass and get a touchdown. So far, they have'nt proven squat because they need more than just him. They should have figured that out a couple years back.

Bush will be the difference.

Sorry about your Steelers...

That, and you gotta feel bad for the Chargers fans.

Thunderbolt 09-10-2013 06:10 PM

Re: NFL Football Thread

Whatever happens to the Steelers, happens. I can only watch the games and root for them. I saw that Chargers game last night. I'm glad they got rid of that idiot Norv Turner, but they really choked that game away.

How about some Thursday Night Football! It's cool we don't have to wait until Thanksgiving. I wonder how the Jets new QB will fare against Belichick? I don't know who I want to win that game.

Thunderbolt 09-10-2013 10:23 PM

Re: NFL Football Thread

I would think the Jets will crash and burn in that one. The only thing that interests me about that game is I have the Patsy Defense and Gostkowski.

Good luck with the fantasy that is all I can hope for from the Pats so far, and that is even pushing it. Looking forward to another great NFL season.

It was only 10pm when the games ended here. That's the great thing about live sports and the west coast time zone. If I'm not mistaken, that's the only MNF with two games.

Re: NFL Football Thread

Yeah it was just an opening week thing i think,
I have the Pats Defence and Brady...
I also have RGIII...
Not sure who to start this week.
Thinking of going with RGIII but then you know Brady will have a breakout game...

Thunderbolt 09-15-2013 02:13 AM

Re: NFL Football Thread

I've never seen Patsy receivers drop that many passes in an entire season, much less in one game. It's lucky they were playing crappy teams the last couple weeks.

Re: NFL Football Thread

The St Louis Rams must not be very good. Dallas looked "super" in their 31 - 7 win.

officially done with Tampa, never seen a team with such ability to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in the last 2-3 minutes of a game every game. They could be 3-1 but theyre their own worst enemy

Steelers are 0-4 for the first time since 1968. I was only 2 years old and not even a Steelers fan for 5 more years. Time to just win afew and look to next year.
