Re: NASCAR thread
Has anybody seen the new Dodge Busch series COT for next year? I was looking at this weeks NASCAR Scene and this picture was in it:
http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h3...sting_0002.jpg That front end actually looks like a Challenger! I'm in shock that a "stock" car actually has identifying features of a real car! What do they think this is, 1987?!? :smokin: |
Re: NASCAR thread
:23: :23:
I saw a shot of the rear of the car, and couldn't believe it...it actually looks like the rear of a real Challenger!?! What are the thinking, making stock cars look like actual STOCK CARS?!? Wonder which Mustang Ford will bring to the party? 2009?2010? Shelby GT? GT500? Calif.Spec.? Or will there be a new NASCAR pony at dealerships next year? :borg: |
Re: NASCAR thread
If it actually happens,
expect to see full grandstands at Nationwide races, and plenty of empty seats at cup races. |
Re: NASCAR thread
Unfortunately Ford is not as inspired as Dodge. Here's their new car:

Re: NASCAR thread
What happened to the Challenger/Mustang/Camaro deal?
:borg: |
Re: NASCAR thread
I was also under the impression that the Mustang
was going to be the "Busch" car. |
Re: NASCAR thread
So was I.
Also, saw a story on the theft of three Roush/Yates engines. Worth about $50K each, there is a reward for information leading to the recovery of the engines and arrest of the thieves. Personally I'd settle for a few laps in the car with Carl Edwards...and maybe they could throw in a Stage 3 or a BlackJack... :borg: |

Re: NASCAR thread
Looks like the 18 Jap car is blowing some smoke!
A LOT of smoke! I hope he doesn't damage the wall to badly or take anyone else out when it explodes. Poor wittle punk jerk Kyle. |
Re: NASCAR thread
Roush Fords
1, 2, 3 Biffle Kenseth Edwards Shrub: 43rd. Bwaaaaa haaaaaaa haaaaaaa |
Re: NASCAR thread
I think Kyle's chances are really dwindling down for the Cup now. I thought he would have a really good chance but not now.
|
Re: NASCAR thread
Very impressive with team Roush. Biffle has to be one of the classiest guys out there, good for him. Johnson and Gordon were strong today but not as strong as those three.
As for the opposite of Biffle in personality, to bad for Dumbo and his Toyletta. :23: I remember a couple of weeks ago DW with his typical nose up Busch and Toyletta's :butt: saying it was Kyle's to win. Well DW, I hope you choke on those words. As for Toyletta, how in the world did Michael Waltrip wind up in the top ten. |
Re: NASCAR thread
Good day for the Roushketeers! Great day for Biffle. I've been fortunate enough to meet him and he is as genuine as he appears.
Love Shrubs day, and hope that the luck follows him for the rest of the season. :borg: |

Statement from Gibbs Racing spokesman "Bob":
"He did not finish 43rd at Dover and the Roush Fords were nowhere near the front" http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...man941/IIM.jpg |
Re: NASCAR thread
Great day for the Biff. :worship:
I missed the whole thing and will have to see the highlights later. We took most of the day to do some indoor karting. :smokin: Vid below, my 10 year old is on the red kart 28.5 second laps, the next kart is blue with my 25 year old son 27.3 second laps, and I'm on the last blue kart turning 25.8 second laps. This clip is when we all bunched up before sorting out in the opposite order. It was a great day, I ran 12 races that are 8 minutes each and spent 30 minutes on the drift track. :23: |
Re: NASCAR thread
One of the best ways to learn to drive hard is to drive a loose kart. The best way to do that was a wet track, the best way now is a polished track. This was a short indoor track for the kids with the red karts. Now it's called the drift track and thanks to it my 10 year old has cut his lap times just over a second. :worship:
It may look easy but trust me .............. it just looks that way. My 10 year old has been karting for 3 years and has several hundred laps under his belt on the large track. Today was his first laps on the polished track. Vid below: |
Re: NASCAR thread
That polished track looks like it would be a blast. Kinda like dirt tracking it.

The other fun thing is the weight advantage the thin among us have on the regular track is GONE on the polished track. It's a joy to run hard side-by-side on that track. I've gone 10 laps that way with my son without the karts touching. :23: |
Re: NASCAR thread
Looks like another great day for Shrub.
The Roush cars are looking good early on, and the Hendrick seem to be moving back nicely... :borg: |
Re: NASCAR thread
bwaaaaa haaaa haaaaaa.....................
Poor shrub. Not! |
Re: NASCAR thread
I had a car show yesterday and then took the family to the local track. They only had 4 vintage race show and all were different makes and shapes.

Re: NASCAR thread
That spinout by Kenseth in turn 2 happened right in front of where my dad is camped for this race in the infield. I could'nt get the time off for this race. :anger:
