Who's Eaton Swapping Currently??

So it seems like there are quite a few of us undergoing Eaton Swaps currently. I thought it would be interesting to make a current thread seeing where you guys are in the process.

Post progress as you go as well as goals and corresponding parts you will be adding to the build

Here's a teaser pic.

I'm shooting for high 400's. I will be converting to e85 running twin focus pumps, Glenn tank, 60lb injectors and Kenne Bell BAP. I will also be complimenting the Eaton with an Accufab, C&L, 3.10 pulley and will be powdercoating the valve covers and timing cover while apart.

3.1 pulley? I wouldn't go lower then a 3.4 but whatever floats your boat lol that thing is gonna see 11-12psi with that pulley and should be high (475-490)

That's the plan haha. I've seen guys making around 10psi on stock internals with that pulley so we'll see what happens.

Looking good. Almost you're almost there. Wish I could answer the question but I'm not there yet, I'm sure someone will chime in soon.

ooo i can help!

you can take a wrench to it and turn it slightly counter clock wise. i went out and got some hose from advanced auto and ran all new hose from the resiv to the pump and it works well.

With e85, that thing will be fine. Keep it fat, not too crazy on the timing, and its going to be an animal.

Sent you a PM. Yes, I bought a complete kit and sourced out the cobra hat, pumps and fuel level sender.

Re: Who's Eaton Swapping Currently??

I am in the process of a Eaton swap as well. Mines a little different as its a 93 coupe with a 04 Mach 1 motor and T56 in a fox. Only mods are twin 60mm accufab TB, BBK X-pipe with cats, and 96 intake cams. It made 302 WHP and 303 TQ NA on the dyno. Car ran 12.9 bogging and missing fourth (**** notchy t-56) on 275/45/17 MT drag radials. The Eaton will be running a billetflow 3.4 pulley. Car weighs 3006 lbs with full tank of gas. Should be fun.

How hard is it to put a modular in a fox? I'm talking mainly electronics.

I got a few hours in yesterday. Got the intakes off, ground down the bosses, and unbolted the valve covers.

Re: Who's Eaton Swapping Currently??

I was going to and have the blower and a few other parts but I wasn't having a ton of luck finding any parts for a decent price. I'd rather have a PD blower but I think it'll end up centrifugal just for simplicity of the kits and I'm not looking to run a bunch of boost and test out the cast crank

What do you mean keep it fat? Haha. I like them fit :eyebrows:

I'm jealous of all you almost done with your builds. Be sure to post results :yeh:

Good luck on whichever route you choose. I'm sure some more Eaton kits will pop up.

Re: Who's Eaton Swapping Currently??

anyone know if im suppose to use a cobra intercooler pump harness? i was told i need one but i dont see where it goes?

watman02 03-18-2013 05:55 PM

Re: Who's Eaton Swapping Currently??

you'll need the pigtail to connect to but on page 7 post 169 it states to wire into pcv heater for power.

bleedingfordblu 03-18-2013 07:27 PM

Re: Who's Eaton Swapping Currently??

ok thats what i thought cause the pigtail is just a two wire connector. one wire gets grounded and the other goes up to the red cable on the harness by the firewall on the passenger side, right?
