Drive Shaft
I just purchased a new drive shaft to help with the vibration in the drive train from the 4:10 gears. Does anyone know what to torque the bolts down to?

Re: Drive Shaft
I have 4.10 gears and didn't know about a side affect being drivetrain vibration, is this common?? I kept the big, heavy thingy hanging under the rear gear housing..is that why I don't have any vibration issues with a stock driveshaft??

I've seen guys loosen and rotate their driveshaft a 1/4 turn to reduce vibration.

Re: Drive Shaft
That big ole weight under the differential aka moose nuts from we were told many years ago was specifically designed to dampen vibrations with the 3.55 gear set and does nothing once you swap gears.
Remove as it is just dead weight. |

Did you just recently install it? I've heard of guys rotating the driveshaft a 1/4 turn and reconnect to try and shift the imbalance to get it to stop. |
