Bulb socket replacement

Has anyone done a bulb socket replacement? Haven’t tried it before and looking at these from LMR for the license plate bulbs after finding both of mine burnt and melted. Want to do the LED upgrade, but don’t want to install the lights until I replace the sockets.

you mean change out your head light sockets?

I would go ahead and do this and move on to the other stuff when you get to them.

None of those options actually! Haha, it’s the bulb sockets for the license plate lights. These would be the sockets that you plugged your LED upgrade into. Actually splicing those into the deck lid wiring, does that make sense?

cant see the link but if I have to replace connectors or anything like that I try to stay with OEM or OEM knockoff - then instead of splicing just de-pin it and insert em into the new one. My set of dental picks usually does that job

yes they do. LMR always has great replacement stuff. I would trust getting those and using them.
Sorry I was confused, guess it would have help if the link work, but all good and now we are on the same page.

again, shouldn't have to splice any wires. Just pay attention to which wire goes in which side, de-pin them both and swap the housings only.
