Cost to paint....

Okay, I just bought a 2001 cobra front bumper cover off of some guy on another forum. It was already painted silver. What I am wondering is, approximately how much will it cost me to have the bumper cover repainted red? I basically have no idea how much this is going to cost, and I am trying to get some input, so what should I expect to pay?

It depends on where you take it to be honest...........I'm guessing anywhere from 300-500, that should be with instillation as well

Yeah browse around for local shops, I won't pay more than $200 for one piece to get painted.

I know paint prices keep going up, but still u can find good deals, just call around.

Post some pics when ya get it done!

A "good deal" is not always the best bet when it comes to having something painted.

I'm gonna install it myself. I'm not paying for overpriced labor if I could do the job myself. I was shooting for hopefully $150 but im not sure. If I have to pay 300-500 idk if I would do that. But at the same time, I want the job to be done well, I guess I'm going to have to pay if I want it done right.

Well nothing is cheap in Jersey, so just shop around and I am sure you can find a reputable place to get it done at a decent price.

The Guy Who Painted Mine Didnt Charge Me To Put It On It Was Painting It Thats The Charge It Took Like 20 Minutes To Put The Fogs And The Bumper On.thats Easy Its Finding A Good Painter Thats The Hard Part.for 150 You Will Not Get The Same Work As A 350 You Get What You Pay For Beleive Me.

I have a friend who owns a paint shop and said that 200 a pannel is average for car painting.

That sounds pretty fair to me. The issue is, would is cost more since the bumper cover is already painted silver? I guess when I get the bumper in next week, I'll have to do some serious shopping around.

It shouldn't cost more since of is the same deal as stripping off the orignal paint when you normaly do a repaint of a pannel.
