I think I was drifting this morning in the rain. The car went sidways at every shift. Rain is fun. :23:

Re: Who is drifting their Mach?

The Mach is NOT a drifting car... If you REALLY wanted to drift it, you'd need MANY modifications.

You sir are having to much fun in with the Mach. You probably don't get to many rain free days nowadays.

Re: Who is drifting their Mach?

Why not? Ken Gushi is drifting the Shelby and Vaughn Gittin is drifting the Falken Mustang. Much respect for the skills needed to drive like that. I wouldn't personally do it to my car though. I've been to several D1 and Drift competitions and it was a blast (Irwindale Speedway). It all has to start with a platform and I've spoken with many Japanese PRO drift drivers and the LOVE the domestic cars and wish their were more of them in drift comps.

Re: Who is drifting their Mach?

My future son-in-law drifts his V6 Mustang. I think it is pretty gay. I dunno but he likes it. I took him for a spin in the mach and showed him what it feels like to go fast in a straight line. Took him thru a couple of nice curves too and did not umm drift em but showed him what it was like to go hard thru a turn and pull out with a **** ton of force. He was like WOW.. I just don't get it, I think he is a tard!

That video, I had seen it before and it still sucks or the guy driving sucks or both!

Lately, I've been drifting around every corner I come across! Not on purpose mind you, just worn out summer only rear tires! It does make for some exciting commutes to and from work.

thats what i was gonna say...drifting means you dont slow down for a turn haha....i drift a few turns every now and then...real fun to slide through a 90 degree turn pulling WOT and coming outta the turn at 6k in 2nd....yum

Drifting=The Slowest way around a corner!

Re: Who is drifting their Mach?

To me drifting is a complete waste of time. I saw an exhibition of it at the Cleveland Gran Prix in 05. Sorry not impressed. However, if that's your thing, more power to you.

I could be wrong, but who I find that likes this drifting stuff are those that are young. I don't know to many that are beyond the age of 25 that really get into this stuff. I'd rather watch a car on a road course or see how fast it can rip the 1/4 mile.

The road course and drag strip are sports, drifting is an exhibition fad. IMHO.

Re: Who is drifting their Mach?

From what you all are saying about Drifting being a waste, tell me how it is diffrent then NASCAR? :what: That is a waste IMHO. I am not sure I believe that Drifting is a sport, but you can not deny the skill it takes to control a car in a slide when you are less then 10 feet from another car and the wall. Now, a REAL drifting car, one that is set up for drifting, is no diffrent then a NASCAR car or Drag car. ALOT goes into the cars to make them perform.

If you don't like.. don't watch. I don't watch NASCAR, but I am not calling those that do it or watch it GAY. Name calling is for ricers.
