~ '01 Cobra Bumper/Paint work
 

I was lucky enough to get ahold of a NEW 2001 Cobra Front bumper....

The Mach1 front end was in rough shape (Previous owner looked like they followed a rock truck to work every day) That plus the Love bugs in FL finally started eating away at the paint.

So I had the paint shop re-paint the front end Hood/Fenders/Bumper....D@MN paint work is not cheap these days!!

$1100 for the job....is that normal/fair~?

Car turned out great and they used quality paint and sealed it with an "epoxy clear coat"!?

I will have pics tomorrow or Wed.

Sounds fair. I painted my front end, rear end and side skirts for a little more than double that.

Looks great! I just had to take my chin off my 01 front - hoping to find a way to extend it to the wheel well before reinstalling it.

Guy came to a local toy run with a bunch of us this weekend.


Every once in awhile I start to like this more then the 03/04 cobra bumper. Usually on white or either yellow for whatever reason. But man, the 03/04 just looks so mean on darker colors...

Price not bad doing the hood as well, did they also reapply the stripe? I had front, back bumpers along with spoiler and rocker panels done for $600.00, I helped pick the custom color, then spent another $300.00 and had a Xpel full front invisible bra including headlights and fog lamps installed to protect it, pics to come. Looked at pics, scratch the hood stripe, looks real nice, I have the diverter as well in black, haven't got around to installing. Great looking ride !!!

Thanks! Yeah I wanted to put the stripe back on the hood, but the wife likes it without....says it makes it look sleeker. Whatever, its her car so I guess it will remain off. If it was my car it would have another $10k done to it lol.

( But I have my own toy to mod.....its in the second pic I posted.)

I had to go back and look at pic, now I see it in the second garage, black out rear panel, looks nice as well. Happy Thanksgiving :32:

man that looks so sexy, for me i like the 99/01 cobra front better than the 03/04 cobra fronts, but that is just a IMO type thing

Glad I got to see it on a OW also!! I have license plate holes drilled into mine.. Hate that.

been lucky enough on the mach never had to and haven't yet on the GT, but since i have purple heart plates i don't mind to have em up there
