Re: F1A cog project
.020 I believe. I'll know for sure the next time I put it on the dyno and we adjust them again. That won't be any time soon because I'm broke again LOL.

Re: F1A cog project
You make a TON of power with the stock ECU as long as it's below 7000 RPM's. After that is where the problems arise. That's why I was asking about that with his choice in intake and cams.

Re: Supercharged HP vs N/A HP
The problem with this theoretical stuff is you have to base it on assumptions. If this were even possible, you would have to assume the N/A car had an extreme cam profile that revved upwards of 10K...

Re: Supercharged HP vs N/A HP
This thread is about the durability of motors here. OP said nothing about peak power so the next time you pull something from your butt, try to at least remember what you ate so you know where it...

Re: Supercharged HP vs N/A HP
At a vacuum? It's just an accessory at that point. Like throwing on a second alternator. The more pressure in the manifold, the harder it is to turn the impeller against that force... but at a...

Re: Supercharged HP vs N/A HP
Dude, I understand that the engine is using HP to make power, but it's making that 450 at WOT. I'm talking about CRUISING here. I think it's not harder on the engine than being N/A.

Re: Supercharged HP vs N/A HP
I think you mean less boost to make the same amount of power. That's just how it is.
I know they take power to make power, but when you're cruising around at 2,500 RPM's on a lower compression...

Re: Supercharged HP vs N/A HP
In racing applications, this is true, but for street cars and regular unspirited driving, we can assume the blown car will have less of a compression ratio and have less wear and tear. The blower...

Re: Supercharged HP vs N/A HP
Ok I'll go on with the hypothetical. A supercharged car is going to weigh more and require more fuel. It will require less aggressive cam profiles to make the same HP as an N/A car so it would be...

Re: F1A cog project
Good build right there. Sounds like linumup part deux LOL
One question... with that intake and big cams, are you doing anything with the computer? I know most Mach computers (including mine)...

Re: Draw thru vs Blow thru MAF
You'll just need to use a MAF.i.a. I don't see your MAF Counts getting out of control with 500+. I'm pretty sure the LMAF with a MAF.i.a. has made over 700 before through a manual. Certainly...

Yep... a few gas tanks full and you could have bought a mod that gave you more power than that.... permanently.

Re: plugs for 150hp nos
One step colder should be fine. I've used NGK before they weren't any better than autolite honestly.
