Re: E-85 blended with 89 octane

As gearheads here on a Mustang site, many of us don't have the same focus on E85 that a typical "tree hugger" or soccer mom will have.

My only goal is to make big power with it, and hopefully not...

Re: Anyone remove the ABS Bosch pump?

:wall: I tried pulling the bulb on my airbag light, and the car is smart enough to know the bulb is missing. It emits a beeping tone sound every so many seconds to tell you the bulb is out. Bastids...

Re: New Intercooler tank in the trunk (pics)

water (ice) is 8 lbs per gallon, so about 40 lbs more in liquid than the old cooler (if you fill it all the way up), plus maybe 20 lbs more in the tank and lines. But it moved off the nose to behind...

New Intercooler tank in the trunk (pics)

I thought I'd share my newest addition to the car to keep the intercooler chilled during True Street or Bracket Racing hot-laps that you power adder guys might like.

I had this custom aluminum...

Re: what do you think of 600 rwhp on the stock bottom end

Now THAT's what I call BONE stock. :machgod: :)

However, if someone has the money for a new motor, I'm all for pushing them to go to the limit. Maybe not 600, but definitely 500. I'm personally...

Re: Place your bets

Sweet! I'm doing Atlanta FFW True Street this Saturday. Hopefully I'll see you there.

And I just got back from PINKS ALL OUT at Rockingham last saturday, it was a blast!

Re: Question about ethanol 85

Corrosion is really not an issue. The fuel lines and tank can withstand light amounts of ethanol and there's no proof that 85% ethanol causes any more harm or deterioration in a post-1988 vehicle.

Re: New Dyna-batt battery installed, pics

It starts perfect in cold weather. But the only downside I know of is the overall life span. Mine only lasted about 2 to 2.5 years before it started needing charging on my battery charger when the...

Re: New Dyna-batt battery installed, pics

Yes they are a bit bigger. It's soft lead, so I just ran a pair of pliers around them a few times to whittle them down to size to fit the stock cables.

Re: Question about ethanol 85

Absolutely! We had to switch out my 42's to 60's to go from the gas to the green. Also needed a Kenne Bell boost a pump to help the 03 Cobra pumps flow enough fuel. An equipment upgrade is essential...

Re: Question about ethanol 85

I have to disagree here. Your statements are correct information for the most part, but they are not reasons to disclaim it's potential as a performance fuel. With any change in fuel properties, you...

Re: Question about ethanol 85

I thought I'd share my quarter mile times on the E85 from this past weekend.
The car has a stock shortblock, stock heads/cams, and even the headers. Running on 17" drag radials, it ran an 11.36 at...

Re: Question about ethanol 85

All excellent points, however let me point out that ETHANOL in 100% form is corrosive. When mixed with 15% gasoline (and actually 30% gasoline in winter) E85 is not nearly as corrosive as one might...
