And yes, you can damage the brakes with a c-clamp...I've seen them come into the dealer all fubar'd because some idiot didn't know what he was doing. So yes, it can happen.

stick a clear piece of tubing over the bleed screw and submerge the other end in the brake fluid...keeps air from re-entering the brake line.

If you don't want to go auto, expect to break things. It's something you'll have to deal with if you plan on going with that much power. Just realize its limitations and don't expect to bang the piss...
