Re: Cranks, but won't start

The ring gear was the problem. Ford's ended up replacing the clutch while they were in there. They couldn't find a stock replacement clutch so they upgraded to a Ford Racing clutch that has about...

Re: Cranks, but won't start

So far the ring gear is bad. Ford's is pulling the transmission tomorrow to see what else went wrong. $1100 and counting........

Re: Cranks, but won't start

Yes, I have the stock fly wheel. The tow truck just took the car away, so we'll see what they find.

Re: Cranks, but won't start

Tried jumping the car. No go. I purchased the battery last summer.

Yes.

Things of changed. I can hear the starter turning, but I don't think it's engauging the flywheel. I'll call the...

Cranks, but won't start

I have a 2003 Mach 1 5 speed (23000 miles) that cranks, but won't start. No codes show and the fuel rail pressure is 45 using the predator handheld tuner. Anyone know what other vitals I should...

Bad COP's

I have 22,000 miles on my 2003 Mach 1. The darn thing is running like complete crap. I pulled all the COP's and tested them with a multi-meter. Three of them ohm exactly the same. Five of them...

Re: Ugh... coil packs.

Bad front o2 sensors will cause misfires during normal driving too.

Re: reset tune?

No, you will need a custom tune. I'm figuring you went with the C&L power pipe with 85mm MAF housing and an off-road X-pipe. Your car is running lean at WOT. You can try and adjust the WOT...

Re: Open and CLosed loop ?

Open and closed loop is in reference to your front o2 sensors. Your computer switches between the 2 modes. Your computer runs differently when the engine is hot/cold during normal driving.

When...

Re: 28 spline moser axels

You'll need 2 quarts of 75W-140 gear oil and 1 bottle of friction modifer. You will probably need to get the exciter ring and the studs pressed on before you start the removal process.

Re: Axels & Center Pin?

Thanks, I think I figured it out. I'm not going to say what I did yet. I'll give my fix some time first.

Axels & Center Pin?

How much of a gap should there be between the end of axel and the center pin in the differential? I have a clunk, clunk, clunk sound when I make right hand turns and I'm trying to dianose the...

Re: Closed Loop

It ended up being my front o2 sensors going to crap. When the car is fully warmed up, driving at 55 mph, and my foot is on the gas pedal my car is in closed loop. When I let 100 percent off the gas...

Re: Closed Loop

Thanks Geoffav, if your at 14.7 at idle & part throttle then I'll put the car on the dyno and monitor the air/fuel ratio. I'll have to go back on the dyno after all the tweaking anyway. :yeh:

Re: Closed Loop

Hey geoffav, I got another question for ya. If you are cruising on a flat road at about 55 mph with your foot on the gas pedal just to hold 55 mph what is your long term fuel trim going by your...
