you wont get 700hp without FI on a mach-1 unless you get it to rev to around 10K rpm. I'd assume you'd inform your insurance co of any mods...

Terminator with a pulley job and minor mods will work out cheaper I suspect (and a heck of a lot less hassle too).

and hence V8s are cheap... it's all relative of course - gas here is about 1/2 price it is in Europe where you can still buy gas guzzling SUVs and V12 Mercedes.

Synthetic oils helped a lot for me.
1-2 grind GONE, 2 -3 much less prone to missing (it still does when cold from time to time, but granny shifting for 5 minutes is really not an issue.)

I changed tranny and rear end oil to synthetic at 20K ( and 4 years) - a little insurance policy maybe. Gear shift MUCH improved. No idea if rear end better/worse.
As for engine oil - whatever...
