Re: WTB Catted H-Pipe

I had to make a drive up to Eastchester, NY. A little farther than I had hoped but not too bad.

Re: WTB Catted H-Pipe

No longer have a need for a new H-pipe. Found a good deal on the magnaflow x-pipe local.

Re: Replacing Cats on MRT H-Pipe

I thought the same, but unfortunately they only have a 90 day limited warranty on the cats. Plus, the original owner put them on and I have had the car for 4 years now. Oh well, I ended up just...

Re: FS: 99-04 Borla Stingers $450 shipped

Well, I decided to hold on to the exhaust. I'll be putting the stingers back on in the spring when it gets a little warmer out. Sorry to those who were interested, just can't part with the exhaust.

Re: FS: 99-04 Borla Stingers $450 shipped

Thanks all. It's a great sounding system especially with the MRT catted H-pipe. Hopefully I don't kick myself down the road for selling the exhaust.

Re: MRT Catted Midpipe and Rear O2 sensors

I think this is your main problem (highlighted in bold). I could be wrong, but the rear sensors are working properly by throwing a code to tell you that the cats aren't doing their job of reducing...

Re: MRT Catted Midpipe and Rear O2 sensors

I thought I remember reading somewhere that it's a combination of miles and number of starts: I could be making this up. I also had approximately 300+ miles on my car prior to the light returning,...

Re: MRT Catted Midpipe and Rear O2 sensors

I would suggest saving your money on replacing the O2 sensors, unless you have a lot of miles on the car. I was lucky to replace them and not have the light trigger while getting my emissions check...

Re: MRT Catted Midpipe and Rear O2 sensors

As JJPMach1 mentioned, the tuner needs to adjust the O2 sensors. I'm new to tuning so I don't know what that entails; however, since getting my car back, I have not had an issue with the CEL coming...

Re: MRT Catted Midpipe and Rear O2 sensors

I can try to get a drive-by video if you want...I'll see if I can borrow my in-laws video camera.

Re: MRT Catted Midpipe and Rear O2 sensors

Got the car back today...the car is so much smoother and no more CEL. The car pulls pretty hard now. The final numbers are: 304 hp/326tq (SAE). I had a fun hour drive home :gears: Definitely...

Re: MRT Catted Midpipe and Rear O2 sensors

No, not yet. Kevin said it would be done tomorrow. I'm anxious to get the car back. It was cool walking into the shop and seeing some of the work he was doing... I think there were 3 cobras and an...

Re: MRT Catted Midpipe and Rear O2 sensors

Well, I left the car with Kevin on Saturday. Should have the car back on Monday. Can't wait to see how the car runs after being properly tuned.:gears:

JJPMach1, how's the car running?

Re: MRT Catted Midpipe and Rear O2 sensors

Nice numbers...thanks for checking with Kevin about the O2 sensors. I need to give him a call to set up an appointment.

Have you had a chance to drive your car yet? If so, how does it feel now?

Re: MRT Catted Midpipe and Rear O2 sensors

I'm still getting P0430. I'm going to to call Kevin at Wicked Motorsports and see when I can bring it in.

Re: MRT Catted Midpipe and Rear O2 sensors

Looks like it's not the O2 sensors as the CEL came back on...I'm guessing it has to do with the high flow cats in the MRT midpipe :dunno: Would a tune fix the issue without turning off the rear...
