The driver side head on a 4 valve motor has a dead spot in the rear 2 cylinders #7 and #8 for coolant flow. It creates a hot spot that could lead to detonation with a supercharger or nitrous. Most 4 valve engine failures are
either ringland/piston damage or broken rod due to tuning issues leading to
detonation or the air/fuel mixture igniting early while the piston is still on the compression stroke....piston is going up....flame front and gases expanding down....stresses the piston/rod was not designed to ever see= boom boom.
This evens out coolant temps in the heads and is basically an insuarnace policy and peace of mind for my blower install.
