Theres nothing magical at all.
What you have is a power cord connection issue. The odd thing is, this is the most common and one of the most expensive repairs (besides the LCD). Plugging in, unplugging, moving the laptop around while plugged in, etc. will all cause strain on the connection. Heres a couple tests:
Plug the adapter into the computer. Does the connection wiggle?
If yes, plug the other end into the wall. Now, push in on the connection on the laptop, push it to the top, bottom, left and right and see if you cant get it to make a connection, even if just for a blip of the charging light.
Assuming this is the problem, this means a laptop motherboard replacement.

Crap!
I love this computer. It has been perfect until now. Would I be better off to buy a new one if it needs a motherboard? I got this thing using my son's Wal-Mart discount with a bonus coupon for an extra 15%, so it was kinda cheap. I guess if it comes to that I could get one that would allow me to make use of my accessories, memory, hard drive etc...
The funny thing is my son just got back on with WM in a management position, I can use his discount again.
Thank God for frequent backups. :HOPPY:
