I am looking to upgrade my headunit because i want to listen to my iPhone and charge it.

Do i need a wiring harness to go with it to work with my mach 460 amps and speakers? I also remembering reading somewhere that switching out the 460 head unit and keeping the 460 amps and speakers lessens the sound quality, is this true?
