Exclamation Re: Mach 1 front brake pad question! please help

i just had the same issue. the ones that the auto parts has on the system look nothing like what it really is supposed to be. autozone has them and the only way to get it is in the new z max pad. $60. Auto zone Z max pad part # 412

my brother and i had the same problem the first time we changed the front pads on his. what i do everytime i go in for new pads is ask for 03 cobra pads, that way you won't get the wrong ones.

I just changed the fronts over to GT brake settup. I have always had issues with the cobra brake pads. The retainer clips would rattle, and I had to rebuild the master cylinder a couple of times. Plus the pads are more expensive. Since the car is built to go straight, the GT settup is a little lighter and the pads are easier to aquire.

You will have to weld in a new transmission crossmember settup. It moves the tranny mount up a little, and you will need a spacer for your drive shaft, or get a custom built one.
