A better (and much cheaper) choice would be the 2000R T 56 with 2.97 1st gear and .62 6th with rear gears like 3.90 or 4.10's for street use. This trans has gears exactly 30% apart for gears 1-4. The worst choice of the 3 T 56's that will fit our cars is the 03 Cobra model with it's 2.66 first and .63 6th. MHO

The Viper T56 has a lower numerically 1st gear. Therefore you will need more Rear End Gear to get the car moving. Spec is an excellent clutch company. The Stage 3 is a little aggressive for a 10 spline Input shaft and Torque.

With a 2.66 1st and 4.30's overall 1st gear ratio is 11.44 With a 2.66 1st and 4.56's overall ratio W/B 12.1 with 4.88's W/B (4.88X2.66) W/B 12.98 You'll have to decide how much launching gear you want, but even 4.88's won't give you what you have now in 1st gear...but close. You're going to have to go at least to 4.30's or 4.56 to get car to cruise up hill with it's .5 6th. I imagine you will wind up with 4.56's. I used SPEC 111 for a while on blower car, decided it was too much like on/off switch. Not surprised your input shaft broke. Believe SPEC 11 more than adequate for NA car launching on slicks even and much more drivable. Use Aluminum FW to ease shock to drivetrain. MHO
