seized rear caliper?

swapped my IRS for a SRA last night and everything went perfect, but the driverside rear caliper is holding my brake pads. Holding to the point where once the caliper is over the pads (not even bolts down) i cant turn it by hand, Where as on the passenger side, i can easily turn the wheel by hand. Drove it 2 mins down the street and that rear rotor was terribly hot and discolored. read it could be the caliper (but the piston turns just fine with the tool) or the brake hose, but not sure which to buy. i checked the e-brake cables, greased up and checked the slider pins, etc. and the pads are brand new. Any ideas?

Re: seized rear caliper?

i believe it is the caliper. Hooked my bleeder kit to the caliper and released some pressure in the line and the wheel still wont turn by hand.

Re: seized rear caliper?

Make sure the piston is in the correct spot to accept the brake pad. There are tabs to line up. If so it could be hose or caliper itself.

Yup the tits on the pads need to line up with the slots in the piston.
