Tried the "race tune" - 2003-04 Mach 1 Registry Owners Club

When I got my car the previous owner he gave me the SCT tuner. It had the "safe" tune. I put the race tune in it last night and ****......big difference. I returned it to the safe tune because Im not sure what the race tune does to the timing and AFR dont want to push the motor too much . Im at 449 with the safe tune on a stock bottom.

that is the thing if you don't know whats on the race tune i wouldn't use it

i would say if you really want a "race tune" go have one made,
i think it would smart when you have the money to atleast throw it on the dyno to just see where the "safe tune" is really at

On any boosted engine you need to have a A/F meter !

The Race tune" was made. The previous owner had 2 tunes from the dyno on the SCT tuner. He let me know the more aggressive tune was also on the tuner. Something about timing...haha. I dont plan on going more aggressive on the stock bottom as Im pretty much at the "safe" limit of around 450.

yes, the A/F gauge you will have to make a hole into your mid-pipe and tap it in there, just like one of your o2 sensors

for me my a/f gauge is the most important one out of all

In a pinch you can shut off the rear O2s and install your wide-band there. Hell, they are probably shut off already if you have no cats.
