Custom X pipe?

Has anyone had an exhaust shop do their X pipe? I see Jegs has the X part. I did a search and didnt find anything. I am assuming either no one has done it or it was done and didnt work too well.

Good luck finding an exhaust shop willing to risk the fines and their business to pull of the cats. No one where I live would touch em.

Don't know your laws where you live though.

Either way, your better off buying one. No exhaust shop will do one for less then you can buy one. Plus keep your stock H pipe handy in case you ever want to part ways with the Mach, move, or somethin else comes up.

Re: Custom X pipe?

I built my own. I bought all the tubing from Burns Stainless and welded it together in my garage. All the exhaust shops around me would have done it, but the cost was too high, so I did it myself. It works great. I pretty much built my whole exhaust from the headers back using tubing from Burns.

1+ agree with both, i've had shops that won't cut the cats out, and also the cost for the shope to do it will prob be more than if you just buy one that is already made, you can get a o/r x-pipe for pretty cheap.

Re: Custom X pipe?

I built mine because I couldn't find a good 3" setup anywhere. I also think that with custom made you can make it fit better too. not so much an issue with 2.5" systems, but 3" can get to be a PITA to fit correctly.
