Sorry to hear about this brother. With a war on this sounds even more nutty. I hope it works out for you.

Re: Might have a Mach for sale
Now that I have cooled off some ...
Blackpony - I had about 8 years of 'active duty' with the regular AF. I have another 7 years of 'active duty' with the Guard (full time since 9-11) If allowed to stay I would get a 20 year retirement just like an AF blue suiter. 04texas - They say I can't stay around ... I am taking up a slot and there are junior officers behind me that need to get promoted ... I am dumbfounded to say the least ... We'll see what happens ... thanks for the suggestions and kind words. |

I hope it all works out. The military can't manage personnel to save their azz. While on active duty in a Special Operations slot the stupid Army passed me over for promotion. Instead of going peacefully I requested a special promotion board and they promoted me. I figured it would be tough to make my next and last promotion so I decided to get a MS under my belt. It didn't happen because of deployments so with my file looking pretty much the same as when I was passed over twice ----- the next board promotes me BELOW the zone. I have stopped trying to figure them out. When I had about 19 years in they send me to a dead end assignment (my only non-flying job) and hint that I should retire. I decide to do just that and find a great civilian job and they STOP LOSS me. I finished with 24 years and enjoyed about 23 1/2.

Re: Might have a Mach for sale
B3, what is your AFSC? If you are thinking of moving, the 927 ARS is setting up down here at MacDill and I know that they are hiring.
Just a thought

Re: Might have a Mach for sale
Try Warner Robins AFB also. You may find something in J-Stars since the GA ANG flys there in a blended unit.
