17 Front 18 Rear

Is anyone running 2 different wheel sizes? Reason for question is that i was on a ZO6 site where they were referring to us affectionately as "those mustang guys" . They seem to run 17/18 or 18/19 combos. Just wondering if any of us "mustang guys" are doing it............

Re: 17 Front 18 Rear

Well I can't speak for everyone that has done it, but some reasons could be cost, look, fitment...

TRAITOR!!!!

Seems to me that it would be all about looks, I think it would cool on a Mustang, but not so much on one of THOSE cars.

Traitor

Never!!!!

I was researching the Vredestein tires and the OTHER guys seems to have jumped on the bandwagon on a big way.

I also own both these black cars

Re: 17 Front 18 Rear

I have a buddy that went with 17 front and 18 rear. Car sits nice and looks tough. He did it for cost and now loves the look.

Re: 17 Front 18 Rear

I've also got 18x10's for the back, and 17x9's for the front on a set of "show only" wheels I've got. Since I work at a tire wholesaler it wasn't for the cost...., it was the look.

Re: 17 Front 18 Rear

Wish I could...., but no, strickly against the rules.
Rules that allowed me to buy wheels and tires that would cost me $2,800. at a discount tire place all for just $900..
I can't risk loosing that.

Re: 17 Front 18 Rear

I thought about this last year also, there were a few pics to look at. After going with 18X10 and 18X9's up front I think the 17 would be too small. The rear tires are so much bigger than the fronts I can't imagine an inch smaller wheel. I like the raked look so I did it with my suspension instead. Just my opinion though.
