Complete Not MACH Subject
Okay.
Back in April we went back to my Father's 60th class reunion at West Point. We lived there for 7 years when i was a kid and like so many others I was completely absorbed with fishing...Seeing my old fishing holes got the old interest peeked again. So, I started going again... Reason for my post. I am in Houston...Where are the anglers here going to fish? I know about our big lakes. spent plenty of time on Lake Livingston, some on Lake Houston when we first moved here. I live on the west side. Don't want to drive 30+ minutes everytime I can break away to fish. I have been going to the little 5-acre pond in Katy, which has been reasonably productive...Was thinking about Tom Bass Park in Pearland... What I prefer. 1.) Bank fishing/freshwater (Can't afford a boat) 2.) Like fishing for Bluegill, Catfish, LM Bass, whatever is biting (except the turtles.) 3.) Ponds where i don't have to be concerned about some properly owner near by calling the cops...etc... just looking for some input and suggestions. thanks...

Hope you get some good feedback. I've had a little better luck at lake fishing from a kayak than bank fishing. But it varies by season. Early Spring is the best. Seems like you have to be on the water before sun-up in the summer or forget about it - still need a power boat to get out on the lake where the fish are. _ |
