It's for adjusting points. The only thing else you need is some cardboard from a pack of cigarettes to set the gap.

LOL, I'd think so, I use my computer/laptop as a tool for downloading updates to my tuner as well as loading tunes into my Motorcycle.

I have one of those, a couple dwell meters, and vacuum gauges. I did some carb work on a 1969 Corvette not too long ago.
Oh, and I'm "only" 37.

It's either a short throw dipstick or a flux capacitor adjuster.
