Picked up a new DD

Just picked up a 09 Pontiac G8 GT for my new DD. I was originally looking around for a little econobox but you know how that goes lol. Kinda had my eyes on one since they came out and basically found one a few days back for a price even my cheap *** couldn't turn down.

Nice...I always loved the red G8's. I think that they are the best looking car that Pontiac has designed in a long time. Sad that GM shut down Pontiac to accept the bailout money.

Re: Picked up a new DD

Looks very nice, congrats. I'm also looking for a DD at the moment. Trying to jump on a grand cherokee before its sold is proving to be incredibly difficult. Trying to find a 99-04, for under $5k. Called on 5 of them yesterday, 3 of them were being sold as I called, and the other two had been sold earlier that day. Talk about a popular commuter choice, its crazy. Been going like this for two weeks now. Getting frustrating

Re: Picked up a new DD

Finally ran one down. The third one of the day. 2000 WJ with 135,xxx miles in great shape for just a little over $4k. Loaded leather, heated seats, etc. Now I'm poor. No question there are no more parts on the way for the mach this year. On a high note, it has officially been retired from DD status

Nice what engine is it running the 4.0 or 4.7? Yea I know the feeling I was getting kinda of close to going watts-link and torque-arm on the rear of the Mach but that will be on hold for now lol.

It's the 4.0. Yup, mach mods on hold. Actually needs brakes now, melted the pads and warped the rotors at the last track day. Now that I have the Jeep it may be parked for the rest of the year until I can afford the Cobra R kit. No sense in replacing stock parts for stock parts when it's a great time to upgrade. Just need to get that tax return and resist the urge to mod the Jeep along the way
