tire width question

hi i have a 2004 dsg mach and i the stock rims arent doing it for me anymore. im on the waiting list from american muscle. im looking to buy a set of chrome 03-04 cobra wheels i want to put the deep dish 17, 10.5 in the rear. what size tire can i safely put on the back so that it is not to rub. i was thinking about a 295 or 315. thanks for the help.

Re: tire width question

I've got that size with the Eibach pro kit springs and it's been fine, although I do get nervous about rubbing the fender lips if I have people riding in the back. So if you have anything lower, you might need to roll your fenders.

That should be the only issue is Lip rub from the fender. H&Rs go down pretty far. You might be fine with an Eibach Pro Kit though, I believe.
