Yep. I haven't seen the doc. myself as most of that stuff you have to take with a grain of salt. It's certainly an issue though.

North Carolina is doing a study on Fracking ,there is a hugh deposit of Natural Gas that covers 100s of miles .Most of the deposits are near main rivers that run threw the state so its being stalled at this time.However N.C. like alot of states are needing money bad, so who knows. But the companies are already buying up property from gready land owners and it has not even been made legal here. On a side note Natural gas is cheaper than its been in a long time say the spokesman .

..but at what costs to those other states ?

I was going to say the same thing. That is a very hot topic right now.

My LP tank was just filled last week and I want to say that it was over 2.70 a gallon. I'm sure glad we haven't had a cold winter. I have been looking into natural or going back with electric.

Call me crazy, but I think it is a load of crap. All of it. They will charge us what ever the hell they want to reguardless, and now to get it people are getting hurt and loosing their way of life.

Thats the real truth right there ,

They raised gas prices up over the winter because they said that since it was so warm they didnt sell alot of heating oil. Last year they said the reverse !

That works both ways .

..but the fact that the EPA is not monitoring this or the companies dont report what chemicals they are using doesent help either. I mean drilling people were using defective well casings for thousands of wells? They said it can happen to any well drilled ?

Well where i live there are 5 wells being used no problems and they are over 30 yrs old.The water company has to report the water content not only to the state but to each person here that uses it when its out of specs.

The issue needs to be looked into further by someone OTHER than a doc film maker who stands to get rich and famous if he can stir up controversy and might not be above lying to do it. If you dig a little it isn't a load of crap, the EPA itself has recently reversed it's position on this. They stood behind the drilling companies for the longest time but have recently reversed thier findings, determining that there is in fact water contamination.

We are also experiencing a side effect of this in Ohio. The by products of this type of drilling produces waste that is injected under pressure in deep wells. We have some where between 3-400 of these injection wells in Ohio alone. Recently a few of them have been shut down because they were linked to siezemic activity in the Youngstown area.
