Shorty headers

I would like to install headers on my mach, it is an auto and I have an MRT H with cats. Do they even sell them or do I get Cobra ones, how much trouble to install. Has anyone done this?
Bill

Re: Shorty headers

I don't know if installing shorty headers would be worth the cost/trouble as the stock headers aren't that bad as far as OEM equipment goes. I'd recommend mid-length headers at the minimum. I have an auto trans and installed the Bassani mid-lengths they make for manual cars. All that had to be done was to put a plug in the original sensor bung on the passenger side collector (its location would not allow the sensor to be installed) and weld another bung on where the sensor would fit.

Re: Shorty headers

Thanks OKMACH1
Would mid length heders bolt up to my MRT H pipe?
PS I'm not to worried about cost I will buy any header that will work.

Re: Shorty headers

Nope it will not fit. Here is what I am plannig to do.

Order the headers and midpipe from Kooks. They seem to be the best according to what I read. Then sell the MRT Hpipe. You can get $350 - $400 for the hpipe.
