RR/DD Tires
What would be the best road race/daily driver tires that give the best traction and driveability? I have GSD3's right now.. but traction is meh ok

Re: RR/DD Tires
Falken Azenis
Kumho XS Dunlop Direzza Star Specs Nitto NT05 You will have some trouble finding tires for your 10.5 in the rear though. I know the Azenis are only made that wide in 18" sizes. The Nitto NT05 is made wide enough. |

Re: RR/DD Tires
any race oriented tire is gonna be a softer compound and road race oriented tires will have a stiffer sidewall as well.

Re: RR/DD Tires
Falken Azenis RT-615? Was thinking about ordering these for the same application as OP's.

Re: RR/DD Tires
Anyone here running the Nitto NT05's? I'm on the lookout for some new wheels for my DD's and was recommended to get these.

Re: RR/DD Tires
I have heard some great things about them. I may try them out when my Azenis are killed sometime this season but not sure. I am pretty happy with my Azenis right now.

Re: RR/DD Tires
The NT05s are supposed to be very good. Skip the RT615. They make a great autox tire but from what I've read, they heat up and get greasy far to quick for open track. Not to say you can't use them though.

Re: RR/DD Tires
I am running a 275x40x18 Nitto NT05 up front and Nitto DR's 305x35x18 out back. This is the best set up I have found for corner driving and occasional RR.

Re: RR/DD Tires
You are gonna hit some understeer is serious corners with such a sticky tire out back compared to the front.

Re: RR/DD Tires
Depending on the DR too though. The Nitto's sidewall isn't the same as the MT from what I have read.
