New Ford in stable
Well I pulled the trigger on a 2012 F150 FX4. I think she is a sweet ride and I feel comfortable towing the mach 1 with another ford despite co-workers pushing me towards Chevy. I can still ride in style. Let me know what you all think. Even the wife likes her.

Looks like a good choice to me. Makes a great match for the Mach1.

I went in looking for the 5.0 for ease of working on them and reliability. After test driving both I chose the ecoboost. It just has more power and torque than the 5.0. I had some reservations about long term reliability with the twin turbos but I did watch the torture test they put these engines through and figured I'd chance it for the power torque advantages. There are mixed reviews on mpg with these engines as well with most people getting about the same mpg from both motors. When it comes to truck driving I'm an old man and after driving it last night I think I can get the advertised 21 mpg from the v6 on most drives. The mach is for the spirited driving and cutting good corners. Trucks have come a long way since I last road in my brothers '79 ford F150. Lots of creature comforts. Now I have to learn all the gadgets. The wife likes is so I got the home commanders blessing.

Re: New Ford in stable
I know Im getting old "47" but I just dont get the black wheels on everything.
I like shiny polished aluminum. I like the wheels to stand out and with black you cant see them.

Re: New Ford in stable
I was never into chrome or polished wheels; to flashy for me, I just prefer the more subdued look. I'm not really into fads on cars it just so happens the fad is what I prefer. To each their own I guess. I was looking at saleen SC in silver for the mach in the future. I had black chrome bullitts on her before and loved the look just wanted a change. The black chrome was very subdued on the black car also so it fit nicely with my tastes. Black wheels on white vehicle make the wheels stand out more imho. Oh and I am 39 if it matters so not into the kids stuff either.
