How to extend ps hose line?
Just about done with my eaton swap and I just have some wiring left to do and the ps hose.
How do I extend this line? I was talking to a guy in autoZone(most are clueless) and he said he doesn't know how to either because the lines hold a ton of pressure. How did you guy do it? I can buy about a foot of hose but I don't know how I'd connect the existing line to the new one with a proper seal/connection to it |

And if someone knows the size of the line that would be helpful too!

Re: How to extend ps hose line?
I believe the stock 03/04 cobra ones are longer for this reason, but I didn't use one when my swap went on. I want to say we used a pc of heater hose (red) to make it the length we needed it. I don't remember the size of it.

I covered this in my build log , link in sig. I used startlite hose from aeroquip, 2 90 degree AN fittings, two adapters to connect the AN fittings. Used -6 AN hose/fittings. This was on the pressure side from the pump to the hydraulic brake system.
Edit: After further investigation, as brought up by Ackbar00, the startlite hose does not support enough PSI capabilities, the method would be the same as I covered in the build log, but you need a better hose that can support ~2000psi. It looks like I will be making another hose.

EDIT: Post #17 http://www.theturboforums.com/thread...315-rear-tires Originally, I used normal braided line and AN fittings. Less than 100 miles later, as I was backing into a car space, the line blew right out of the fitting and I had to be towed home. These lines need to be rated for very high pressure, hose clamps and barbed fittings are a terrible idea. If nothing else, take your line to a hydraulic hose shop (We have a Parker store around here) and have them custom make you a line.

Ended using a "barb" connector to extending the line with 2 clamps on each end for the supply line
