From 4.10 to 4.30. Worth it?
Is it worth the cost to move from a 4.10 to 4.30 gear, or should I leave it as is?

I wouldn't pay anything or expend any energy for such a small change.

Re: From 4.10 to 4.30. Worth it?
I allowed a friend to talk me into putting 4.10s in my Mach instead of the 4.30s that I wanted. Eactly one week later, I tore it back apart and installed a set of 4.30s. It was a noticeable improvement, and since I do my own gear installs I was only out the cost of the 4.10s, which I gave to my brother for his Cobra.

How would a 4.56 do on the high way? I do a lot of that.

Re: From 4.10 to 4.30. Worth it?
If the highway you speak of is acceleration from a roll...gears will be your worst enemy. A buddy has 48/30 rear wheel more then me and I can run with him and actually slightly creep away.
(test was preformed on an abandoned air strip so noone can give me crap lol) However, in the 1/4 theres nothing better, in N/A application the more gear the better. If I was a drag only car, Id gear the h*ll outa mine lol. If you got the funds go for it, I wold consider 4.56's just to be sure you know what you want. I dont think you want to think the same thing to happen after you put 4.30's in.

Re: From 4.10 to 4.30. Worth it?
I get 22 MPG on the highway, when I had my 3.73's I got 25 MPG.There was another thread about the MPG awhile back, a lot of people convinced me that if you're worried about MPG,don't own a sportscar.Just my 2 cents................................Kevin.

Re: From 4.10 to 4.30. Worth it?
With all the crap in my sig, I been getting 18mpg..kinda nice considering all that nonsense. The TB gave me better mileage seems like especially after the tune.
