Did it again....
Over the past few months, we sold our 68 Mustang fastback and the 72 Maverick. Now we've added a 1988 Saleen Convertible. I don't know a lot about Saleens (yet). But this is number 14. I've been told it is mentioned in the Saleen book (I gotta get this book, now). It is white with blue stripes and it's a 5 speed with 101k. The interior is great. The body is extremely straight. And it runs fantastic. Just needs a little spit shine and some VERY minor work to be show worthy. Can't wait to take this one a nice coast/beach drive.

Re: Did it again....
What condition was the 68?
I think the 68 fastback was one of the most iconic models of all mustangs

Re: Did it again....
Show condition. We owned it for over 10 years. Our 67 and 68 shared the cover of the Aug'06 Mustangs and Fords, plus we had a 6 page article in it.

Re: Did it again....
That fastback is beautiful. Your new Saleen is really cool too.
I've only seen 1 true Saleen foxbody and it was about ten or so years ago. A black GT hatchback with gold accents on the rocker panels and the same wheels you have, but gold. A 20-something year old woman owned it.

If it was up to me, I'd prefer the 68 to that Saleen any day...

The 68 wasn't driven much. My wife prefered to drive her 06. And I just believe a car should be driven. Besides, we still have the 67 fastback and it gets driven. And we really wanted a convertible. This Saleen was simply the right price with the right timing. Attachment 43429

Re: Did it again....
Very nice. I own Saleen 87-223. I have the Saleen Bible so if you have any questions, I'll be happy to help.

Re: Did it again....
I don't know. I'll have to look.
Nice. And thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I've been looking around for the book. It looks like they are still available.

Re: Did it again....
Nice, very nice! your Saleen is cool too but next to the 69 Mach 1 I had which was my all time fav mustang, my second fav classic is the 67-68 Fastback or 70 Mach 1. Enjoy the new wheels.
