Just out of curiosity, and don't take this the wrong way, but there are a CF Mach hood and trunk lid in production already, what makes yours better?

Good question and no offense taken. Well lets break it down.

Vacuum infused for higher quality of impregnation of resin into the carbon, UV protection to prevent yellowing, oem mounting designs and better fitment. Im not saying mine is "the best" or better then brand X but with my competitive pricing and quality I can beat most of them when you put all that together.

Fair enough. I'd buy from you just because you're up close and personal with you're customers asking for ideas and opinions. Much better then the typical business creating for sale threads and bumping twice a day. With that said.

Are you able to do bumpers? There's such a big want for 99/01 cobra bumpers that I bet you'd have a queue list filled in no time, also cobra or bullitt rocker mouldings.

Re: Carbon Driven: What carbon fiber part to make next?

Thank You for your honest feedback.

I built my business out of the need and want for parts that other companies didnt think would sell or wouldnt make them alot of sales. Im doing it because I belive that if you build it they will eventually come and it doesnt have to be a big hit everytime. I want to provide a wide selection and unique products with that personal touch that shows I appreciate your business and am a car lover first, businessman second.

Re: Carbon Driven: What carbon fiber part to make next?

Im starting to branch out into other materials because of like you say there is a demand that no one is filling. I have my own demands so if I cant find parts I want, I will find a way to make them as I know there will be others that will want them too.

With that said, I can tell you that some suggestions are already in the works but will take a good amount of time to get the wheels moving and I prefer not to let the cat out of the bag too soon. Dont want any competition to get a jump on me I have 100+ parts in the queue or in some stage of development.

That's good news, seems like you'll have a bunch of followers, myself included. I'll definitely be in for a Mach hood.

in order of how much i would want them.

CF Mach 1 style hood (that is actually in stock and not a billion dollars)
CF Shaker (preferably slightly larger than stock opening, as well)
CF Cobra or Bullet rockers

01 Bullitt side scoop delete. Make them in fiber glass. Have you seen what they sell for?

bullit side scoops you would make a killing

the CF mach 1 hood with cut out for the shaker and also a non cut out for those that want the look of the hood or need the clarence for blowers or turbo IMO

the replacement hood is 286+ shipping at rock auto http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/more...271&cc=1425013

Re: Carbon Driven: What carbon fiber part to make next?

Mike, that hood is generic brand so unsure how it fits.
There's no way I can make a hood for anywhere near that amount

The no hole idea is cool. Might have to look into that

Re: Carbon Driven: What carbon fiber part to make next?

man i never would expect a carbon fiber piece to come close the price of a fiberglass piece.

and obviously you would save a nice hunk of weight off the front of the car with a carbon fiber piece

and the 01 bullit side scoops would look awesome

Re: Carbon Driven: What carbon fiber part to make next?

I would love to have

* CF Mach 1 hood w/ shaker cutout that uses factory hardware. (no drilling/fab work to make it fit)

* REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY want CF shaker snorkel with a smoothed out piece to replace the factory scrunchy thing that looks like dryer hose. Would be awesome if it matched the JLT CF intake.

*non-cobra CF trunk

*99-01 cobra front bumper not CF.

Re: Carbon Driven: What carbon fiber part to make next?

Mach 1 hood possibly by mid 14

Tubular cf is really difficult to make and takes special equipment which I'm not able to do just yet. I am planning on the shaker top ram air intake and surround tray

Trunk is done. See my group buy thread (all 99-04 trunks are the same, just holes are drilled different for the cobra)

Thinking about this for a while and may be possible but not until mid / late next year.
