Re: BBK Dual 65mm Throttle body review
So you are telling me that the barrel on the end of the throttle cable
binding in the linkage on the POS BBK TB, is because of the Hard stop? Go away loser, all 3 of your posts have been wrong. Dead wrong.

Re: BBK Dual 65mm Throttle body review
hmmmm....same here.
I have known a person or 2 to have some probs with them however. Probably nothing some slight modification can't fix. Not everything can be perfect....o-well. I once put some .600 lift cams in a 2V....and it wouldn't run right....so I decided to sell it. The guy that bought it after me said "All you had to do was get a $400 tune" Funny how that works....

Re: BBK Dual 65mm Throttle body review
What? People bitching about having to slightly modify a throttle body? Or the fact that know one bitches about throwing $1000+ worth of cams/install into their cars, to have to spend ANOTHER $400 to get it to run right?

Re: BBK Dual 65mm Throttle body review
Wow, I had 4 Throttle bodies on the Terminator and they all did similar things. Some would stick off-idle and would vacuum lock. Others would hang and have a high idle. I took them apart, machined the blades, and other little things. They drove me crazy!
I have a BBK on the Mach now and it sticks off-idle sometimes. I give Ford props for making good stock ones, as the aftermarket ones for Machs and Cobras stunk. When my motor heated up, some heat expansion would occur and it would stick more. The only TB that worked well was the Billetflow revised version for the Termy.

Re: BBK Dual 65mm Throttle body review
This thread suprises me cause BBK usually makes quality stuff, just blown away on how many problems there were once installed. I personally went with the Accufab twin 60mm TB for my Mach. Couple of my friends have it and basically live by them, the price per TB could be improved though...

Re: BBK Dual 65mm Throttle body review
Does anyone have any pics of the 65mm throttle body on their car? I wonder if the quality of it has gotten better since they started making them. I'm sure with all the people complaining about it, BBK must have done something about it.

Re: BBK Dual 65mm Throttle body review
I had to blend/enlarge the openings in the lid with my Accufab to remove the edge all the way around the TB bores.
And I had to take out quite a bit too... |

Re: BBK Dual 65mm Throttle body review
The Accufab openings were definitely larger than the openings in the factory lid.
It's not like the factory lid is exactly a precision piece. |

Re: BBK Dual 65mm Throttle body review
I'm getting rid of an Accufab. No matter what I do it keeps giving me a hanging RPM after its heats up and it seems to be totally random, I have to blip the throttle or it will raise itself to 2500rpm.

Re: BBK Dual 65mm Throttle body review
It's a crapshoot. I have had several SBTBs that have had the same problem. Right now I have a twin 65mm BBK that works well.

Re: BBK Dual 65mm Throttle body review
ok i talked to accufab and they said go on there website and follow the instructions on setting you TPS with a voltmeter because they are super sensitive and you have to set the volt reading between .98 and 1.0 volts for the car to idle correctly and i am yet to attempt it, just go on there website under tech for all the details
