Sounds like that oil leak did end up hurting it.

We had the oil pump belt come off during a race and Jason thought he shut it down in time. We put a new belt on, changed the oil, fired it up, and then changed the oil again. Everything seemed fine so we left the engine in for the next race. It throw a rod out the side of the block half way through the race while leading a $5k to win race in VA. That was a $35K lesson to pull and rebuild the engine.

Make sure when you register for the Ford Show at www.carsatcarlisle.com, the put "MACH 1 REGISTRY" for the CLUB Affiliation so we get credit towards out club tent and appropriate parking!! Must be exact. Don't put .COM or anythign else.

We are a maby as we are going to Knott's, Sturgis, MCA Nats in Bellevue,WA and 20 local shows. Looks like $40 to enter the show field and ? for the motel plus another 8,000 miles in gas. But hay, whatever to see my friends on the reg.

Russ, fly in somewhere within a couple of hours and rent a Mustang. Enter and park it on the showfield with the other "plane jane" Mustang class and come hang out with the Registry and at the motel. It's been done before. $40 for a three-day showfield parking pass ain't too bad.

Sorry Bill, on Fri. night I clean my car, chill and get ready for the show on Sat. If the BBQ was Sat. night I would be there. I could never figure out why everyone wants the party before the main show day. I always figured it should be after.
