Re: ProCharger Install Pics!!

I cant understand why there is such a difference between the early 03 cars and the July 03 and up cars. I can tell by looking at your pictures that all my washers, studs and bolts are in the same position but when I tightened everything down there is about an 1/8th in difference between my altenator pully and S/C pulley, others have had the same issue but seem to be running with no problems. I also had to use my K&N clamps on the throttle body connector because the ones that came with the kit were not even close.

Re: ProCharger Install Pics!!

DSG MAch one, I see what the problem is with the coolant transfer tubes I dont have the 99-01 Cobra instructions. My boss Gave me the 96-98Cobra and the transfer tube is located different. Today i Just recieved the MACH 1 Instructions. SO i cant compare the 99-01 Cobra With the MACH 1 Instructions.. I made my own Mounting bracket, I dont think i can make the tranfer tubes.. Also i cant tell WHat the Shaker Mounting braket looks like.. The part # for what they say i need to convert are WF005I-91, 92
3FCCO-04 HOSES ECT KIT, and 3FFMM-02 Mach Misc Bag ( scoop interface, Shaker hood scop support bracket) All That said its $600.. Any pics of help on how i can fab would be great..

Hey DSG could you post a picture of how you ended up routing your upper radiator hose and S/C inlet tube/filter.

There are 2 pictures we took of the install for my brothers car.

We had to trim the connecting hose from the intake to the inlet on the supercharger.

Hopefully the upper radiator hose can be seen enough for you to know which way the two hoses connect...

Hope this helps.

Re: ProCharger Install Pics!!

IZZY got the belt and hose situation fixed it took a few parts stores to get the hose right. And the belt should be a 4061090 Goodyear gator.

Re: ProCharger Install Pics!!

Any reason you all are venting the bypass valve back to the inlet tube? There is no reason to do that with a blow-thru setup. I have mine vented to the atmosphere and it sounds a LOT better.

NUMACHI, I doubt that ATI has done the fix for the '04s. They haven't changed that part of their thinking, in over 12 years. I've done a couple of installs, so take it from me: Take a breather whenever you're fustrated (grab an ice cold "cerveza" as they are commonly referred to here): , so you won't be tempted to take a sledge hammer to her. Be prepared to fab-up, cut, or grind a little here or there.

They haven't changed the kit if thats what your asking. There is more than enough info on this site to get you thru any problems you may have.

I was planning on getting this kit when I returned from deployment beginning of next year. So you're telling me I need a machine shop on hand for my 03 mach? Sounds a little ridiculous and I might go vortech.....

Re: ProCharger Install Pics!!

Only thing with Vortech is if you want to run the after cooler you have to remount your battery in the trunk, not to mention the tapping of the oil pan. Even with the hassels I still think Procharger is the better bet. Just my .02 tho.

You don't need a machine shop just a little skill.

Re: ProCharger Install Pics!!

I was heavily leaning to get a Procharger until I read this. I don't like how the Vortech has to tap the oil pan and mount the battery in the trunk, but with all the bad Procharger fits that may be easier.

Its really not that bad after you figure everything out, and on an 03 like yours you won't have a tensioner problem with the main bracket.

Now that I understand the whole kit, I could install one in a few hours.

Pretty much everything you need to know is in this thread.
