I called and the guy said unless the owner wants to have a new mold made, it ain't gonna happen. So...

This is what I want.... 18x9 chrome exterior, MAC black insides. The same guy said these are possible with the current molds, but they are especially difficult to make. Maybe enough of us wanting them would persuade the owner?

FYI, I just called and spoke to Julio; I am 5'th on the waiting list for a set (either black or stock grey, whichever comes in first). Apparently, the 10.5" MAC Black rims have been manufactured and are sitting some where overseas awaiting shipment; yes, another "2 months" or so before they are available here. We shall see.

Indeed Julio is aware that there is a large pent up demand for these rims, especially the stock grey, but the offshore manufacturer is unwilling, for whatever reason, to manufacture the stock grey versions (and I'm guessing the same deal for the blacks). As has been mentioned by pony40 (and others?), it appears that AFS's inventory of non-Mach 1 wheels needs to be sold, or a significant portion thereof, before the offshore manufacture "will listen to us" (us = AFS).

I contacted AFS yesterday and they said about 6 weeks... Blah, blah blah!!! We will see I guess.

The original gray is supposed to be the same color. Not sure if they are making them again.

yes I used stock mach wheels on the front of my car when I had AFS 10.5s here is a pic of the factory finish...

Those 40 series tires sure fill up the wheel wheels, as well as 18's.

The last time they were selling these I wasn't quick enough to get a set. I called them and was put on a waiting list. The other day I sent them an email asking for any update.

This is the update I received from them.
